DESCRIPTION: This was our very first grip modification technique and it creates an EXTREMELY aggressive texture. We recommend it only for external/thigh carry type rigs, against the skin it will just tear you up. FANTASTIC for inclement weather shooting, gloved shooters, competition shooters. We realize it looks like grip tape but it's NOT! This is applied with a special epoxy, you aren't going to get this off my friend.....We've intentionally tried to remove it with sand blasting and it just laughed at us. The texture improves grip purchase and feel
while optimizing looks at the same time. See a short description of
this textures application to each different make we offer it on below.
We include the left side forward thumb
rest area (index point) with this package, the right side can be done as
well, simply select that option above. Our index points are done in
either our wedge/angled style or a cube/squared style, (see photos and
photo captions above
for comparison), select the style of your choice in the options above.
Our edges are laser cut (black frames only, otherwise by hand), we offer
standard clean edges or we can take it one step better and
deepen/recess the edging to get a slightly tighter grip profile and
cleaner more 'finished' looking edging. If you'd like recessed edges,
choose the recessed edges option above.
Black polymer guns respond well to the laser edging. However different
color frames, especially FDE can be quite difficult to work with and
frequently we must resort to hand cut edges. These take longer and
cannot be 'laser sharp' like...well... a laser.
RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES: Trigger
guard undercuts are sold separately. They are really great for getting
a higher purchase on the grip, thus dropping the bore axis and reducing
recoil muzzle flip. We also recommend a good trigger job.
LEO/MIL/1ST RESPONDER: We
refund 10% only on machining and refinishing options to LEO/MIL/1ST
RESPONDERS with valid credentials. You need to send us via
text/email/with your package, a copy of your credentials. We refund the
10% upon completion of the work. This item DOES NOT qualify for the discount, only machining and refinishing, not frame work, sorry.
COMPATIBILITY: Some slight variations are done depending on the manufacturer of the frame (see below). No two inlay jobs are the same. IF you have a magwell, send the magwell WITH your frame, we need to know how/where it fits so we don't ruin the fit with the frame reduction.
GLOCK - We offer this modification on ALL Glock models. We begin by removing the forward finger grooves and transforming the front strap into a smooth, symmetrical edge (reshaping). We then reduce the rear "Glock hump" substantially, thereby getting the weapon to point better instead of inherently pointing high. Once the reshaping is done, we laser cut the borders, to include the left index point (included with this package, right can be added separately). Please check the options section below.
S&W M&P - We offer this modification only for Smith & Wesson M&P handguns, compacts, standards and Shields are included. Our process for the M&P is very similar to the Glock description above however there isn't any real reshaping done. The M&P's ergonomics are very good, we simply improve on the texture of the frame.
CZ - We only offer this modification for the CZ P-07, P-09 and P-10 C at this time. They have differing frame characteristics. We don't do any index point work on the P-07 or P-09, the plastic is pretty thin and we don't chance a 'burn through'. On the 10 C we do the index points.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE: You can select recessed edges for deeper laser edges and slightly more material removed. This may not sound impressive but the results are, both cosmetically and tactfully. You can also order the right side index point for stippling for off-hand shooting. You can order silicon carbide (SiC) inlays on the front/back straps in the other stipple packages if you don't want the entire grip SiC.
HOW TO ORDER: Enter a quantity of '1' to get a single frame modified. Two frames, quantity '2', etc. Take a look at the refinishing options we offer and any other products you wish to purchase. When making your purchase, please note that you are sending a frame, which qualifies as a 'firearm' even though you are sending it disassembled or in part. As such, we will ship it back by 2-Day delivery or faster. Once your purchase is complete, you'll receive an email receipt with shipping instructions.
WHAT YOU SEND/SHIP US: This product is to modify a frame you provide. You'll need to send us your frame . Unless you're ordering other products that involve the barrel or slide, we don't need those shipped to us. If you're ordering an optic cut that we list on the site, we do not require the optic. However if you send it we will mount it prior to shipping back. To do the frame modifications you've ordered, we require the frame to be completely stripped of all internals. If you can't or don't want to do the disassembly prior to shipping, no problem, just include the armorer's fee above and we'll tear it down, then reassemble it before shipping back. Please refer to our FAQ or SHIPPING page (see links at top of this page) for firearm shipping questions/answers.
